Dead Centre

Dead Centre is Bludle’s free browser challenge about remembering one precise position. A target flashes on the board, disappears, and leaves you to place its centre from memory. Eight rounds gradually reduce the target size and viewing time while extending the blank pause. Each placement receives an accuracy score based on distance, normalized to the board size. Completed daily results and statistics are stored in your current browser; clearing its storage removes that record.

Start a round, study the target’s centre, and wait until the guessing phase. Place one marker, inspect your accuracy and distance, then continue through all eight rounds.

Click or tap to place your marker. On the focused board, use arrow keys to position it and Enter or Space to submit. Hold Shift for smaller arrow-key movements.

Remember the target’s position relative to the board edges. Aim at its centre rather than an edge, and use the smaller keyboard movements when fine adjustments help.
