Full steam ahead! Choo Choo Mania is a compact train-connection puzzle built in PICO-8. Connect each pair of matching stations by drawing a track along the grid, without crossing any other line.
The whole game is one idea executed cleanly: a grid, a handful of colour-matched stations and a rail you draw yourself. It runs in the browser with no download, and the official itch page lists it as a short, cozy session of a few minutes — the kind of puzzle you can pick up, solve and put down again.
The build is also available for download, and the developer states that no generative AI was used to make it.
How to Play
Pick up the track and connect each pair of matching stations with a continuous run of rail along the grid. Lines may not cross one another, so plan the whole network before you commit to a route. When every pair is joined, the puzzle is solved and you move on to the next board.
Controls
Arrow keys – move the cursor
O or Z – hold over a station to start laying a track
Mouse – drag and connect the rails
Tips & Tricks
Trace one route at a time and keep the finished lines clear of the path you still need.
Stations of the same colour have to be joined by one unbroken line of track.
When a route dead-ends, backtrack rather than cutting across a line you already drew.
Short sessions are intentional — a solved board takes only a few minutes, so there is always time for one more.
