Cubewords

Cubewords turns the crossword into a three-dimensional puzzle: answers cross edges and continue on adjacent cube faces, so rotating the cube reveals connected clues and crossing letters. The clues and answers are in English. Today’s 3×3×3 easy cube is free. Optional Cubewords Plus unlocks medium and hard cubes, past days, extra looks and win animations; the hard puzzle becomes an 8×8×8 mega cube on the first Sunday of each month. Wordwind adds a separate daily word-find puzzle on a small cube. Play in a browser on a phone, tablet or computer.

Open today’s easy cube and select a square to read and solve its clue. Type the answer, rotating the cube to follow words over its edges. Use crossing letters to work out remaining clues. In Wordwind, connect letters on the cube to form words. Choose Plus only if you want the larger crosswords and archive.

Drag to rotate the cube. Tap or click a square, then type letters into the crossword. Use the Puzzles menu to choose available dates and puzzle sizes. Plus is required for medium, hard and older crossword cubes, including when opened through a shared link.

Follow an answer across the edge before deciding how much space it has. Solve familiar clues first, then use their crossing letters on neighbouring faces. Rotate regularly so an unseen face does not hide a useful connection.
