This is the rare incremental that trusts you: no tutorial, no wall of buttons — the design language is the tutorial, and by the time the machine hums on its own you've learned it all. The 8–10 minute first protocol makes it a perfect coffee-break automation game rather than a week-long grind. Worth it for fans of minimalist factory-builders looking for something they can actually finish.
About One Button to Infinity
One Button to Infinity is a short unfolding incremental game about building a machine from almost nothing. You press the button. Energy comes out. You build, route, cool, automate — and keep going.
What begins as a single interaction gradually becomes a growing network of interconnected systems, where each new mechanism changes how you interact with everything that came before it. There is no traditional tutorial and no upgrade menu full of dozens of buttons: the machine itself unfolds in front of you, growing physically as new systems come online.
Energy, signal routing and thermal management stack up as constraints, overdrive lets you push past them, and every run ends with a permanent specialization choice. The first protocol is complete with an ending, and a typical first playthrough takes around 8–10 minutes. Procedural visuals and audio, local browser saving, and the current build is v0.1.1 — Protocol 01.
How to Play
Press the button to generate energy, then spend it on the machine's next component. Route signals, manage heat, and unlock automation so the network keeps producing without you. Each run ends with a permanent specialization choice that shapes the next one; the full first protocol takes about 8–10 minutes.
Controls
Mouse – interact with the machine and its components
Space – interact with the central Core when available
Tips & Tricks
Thermal management stops being optional the moment you add overdrive — plan cooling before you need it.
The machine's layout tells you what to do next: if a section sits idle, its input is the bottleneck to fix.
Specialization choices are permanent for the run, so pick the one that removes your current pain point.
