Another night of 2002, and you were hoping to meet your guild on the critic-acclaimed MMORPG Echoes of Twilight. Except the servers have been shut down indefinitely, with no warning, and it looks like you are all alone again — unless you can find a way to contact them.
How do you contact your friends? An email would be nice, but you only ever chatted through the game and never exchanged contact details. Fortunately the game lets you retrieve your email with a simple username and a few security questions. So the job becomes detective work: dig through your guild's chat log to figure out your friends' security answers. What is your teammate's favourite dessert? Where were they born? And if you have forgotten something about Echoes of Twilight — how could you, with over 1,500 hours of playtime? — the player manual comes in handy.
Once you have everyone's email address, you can finally reach out to them. The page tags the game as a deduction mystery with detective, narrative and story-rich focus, and notes it was created during the Patch Notes v2.0 jam. Written by Mewyn, with development, UI and 3D integration by Misha, it was built with Godot and Adobe Photoshop, and the page states that no generative AI was used.
How to Play
Work as a detective inside the game's own chat logs and manual. Search the guild chat log for clues about your friends' security answers, consult the player manual to recall details about Echoes of Twilight, then use the email retrieval flow with a username and those security questions to recover each friend's address — and finally contact them.

See the original itch.io page for the developer's control notes.
Tips & Tricks
Read the chat logs carefully — the answers to the security questions are buried in what your friends said.
The player manual is a genuine resource: the premise assumes 1,500+ hours of playtime, so use it to recall game details.
Collect every friend's address before reaching out; the goal is contacting the whole guild, not just one person.
