Hyperspin is an experimental rhythm game inspired by Taiko no Tatsujin, and this is the demo of the full game, which the developer plans to release for free.
The premise is deliberately strange: you control a circle that spins on a circle, and you tap circles as they come at you. The demo ships with 15 tracks from 9 artists — Mudstep, Waterflame, garlagan, Mac Melto, t+pazolite, Nellative, 4ttitude, Auvic and Thaehan.
Around that core the demo adds a lot of ways to play. Mods can make the game harder, easier or just more interesting. You can play with the mouse or with almost any button on your keyboard, whichever suits your hands. Practice mode lets you work a track up before you attempt a full run, and a versatile level editor lets you build your own charts. The whole thing runs on a custom game engine built for low latency and smooth timing, and the full game is also listed on Steam.
The page lists English and Korean as supported languages.
How to Play
Circles sweep across the play field and you tap them as they arrive; the timing of each tap is the whole game, so hit the circle at the right moment rather than holding a key down. Practice mode lets you drill a single track until it sticks, mods let you bend the difficulty, and the level editor lets you design and save your own charts.
Controls
Mouse – tap the circles
Almost any keyboard button – an alternative to the mouse, so you can play with whichever hand and key suits you
Tips & Tricks
Switch to whichever input feels fastest — the demo accepts almost any keyboard button, so you are not locked into one key.
Use practice mode to learn a track before you attempt it end to end.
Mods are the fastest way to make a chart playable: if a track is too fast or too slow, change the rules rather than your timing.
Keep the timing low and even — the engine is built for smooth, low-latency hits, so consistency beats speed.
