Fan visual novels rarely get this substantial — 150,000 words, 9 endings, and a team that clearly loves the source material. The alternate-universe 'no suffering' premise is the perfect hook for Life is Strange fans who just want their favorites to be happy. A cozy, chunky romance that respects both its source and your time.
About Love is Strange
Love is Strange is a fan dating visual novel based on Life is Strange — originally released on Tumblr on April 1, 2016, and still one of the fandom's most beloved projects. You play as Max Caulfield, an 18-year-old photography student at Blackwell Academy in Arcadia Bay, Oregon, who needs a partner for the school's photography contest. Who she picks — and what happens next — is up to you.
There are four love interests, all from the original game: Chloe Price, Kate Marsh, Victoria Chase, and Rachel Amber. The fan team sets the story in a peaceful alternate universe — all the cozy nostalgia of Arcadia Bay, none of the suffering — and lets emotional storylines evolve with your choices across more than 150,000 words.
The feature list is deep for a fan project: 9 unique endings, a journal that updates dynamically with your decisions, 32 achievements, and a gallery with 48 unlockable images. Desktop builds for Windows, Mac, and Linux exist, but the whole game also plays free in the browser.
How to Play
Read through the story and make choices at key moments — your dialogue and partner decisions shape which romance route (and which of the 9 endings) you unlock. Your journal reflects your decisions as you go, and repeat playthroughs feed the achievement and gallery hunt.

Tips & Tricks
One playthrough won't see everything — 9 endings across 4 routes make repeat runs the intended format.
The dynamic journal doubles as a keepsake; check it between chapters to see how your choices rewrote it.
