Memetic Movement is a short, poetic game about the life of a meme, made by celestial in Bitsy — the tiny browser game engine beloved for its pixel art and one-room-at-a-time storytelling.
The project was created as a Major Research Project for Unimelb's Our Digital Worlds class, which gives the little meme's journey an academic wink: it is both a student reflection on how memes live and move online, and a playable one at that.
Like most Bitsy games it is brief, free and played entirely in the browser — a few quiet minutes walking through an idea.
How to Play
Walk the small pixel rooms with the arrow keys and interact with characters and objects. The story of the meme unfolds as you move through the spaces; there are no failures, just the piece to experience.
