The Chimera Gameboy

The Chimera Gameboy combines shooting and puzzles in a fictional future shaped by megacorporations, depleted resources and uncontrolled AI. Its retro presentation is designed for Game Boy Color, with a browser version available on the developer’s page. This is an in-development demo. The project also offers files for compatible handheld hardware, but planned additions such as extra levels, difficulty options and achievements are not advertised here as finished features.

Move through the available areas, fire at threats and use missiles as needed. Pay attention to puzzle elements as well as combat to find your way forward.

Arrow keys — move Z — shoot (Game Boy A) X — missiles (Game Boy B)

Watch the route ahead while fighting so puzzle elements are not overlooked. Learn the difference between regular shots and missiles before pushing into unfamiliar areas.
