Automated Love Obsession is a story-rich yandere visual novel set in a world where AI is slowly being integrated into human society. You play a Beta Tester assigned to observe three company androids during the final week of testing. After years of development, the robots that were meant to be behaving properly suddenly start malfunctioning…? That was not what you expected — but as Maya would probably say, the show must go on, and you have reports to write.
The demo offers three love interests, branching scenes and meter-based multiple endings, 12 animated CGs with a gallery, a few voice-acted lines, multiple pronoun options (each android has their own pet name for your pronouns once they go "yan-mode"), easter eggs in the name-input section, and a UI and main menu that change depending on the scene and which android you prioritize. The story leans heavily on world-building lore alongside the romance.
Content warnings (13+): obsessive behaviour, stalking, disturbing jumpscares, uncanny valley, flashing, glitching, light suggestive themes and casual swearing. The developer notes the game is an original, independent work — not related to the FNAF DCA — built with Ren'Py, and the page states no generative AI was used. Practical note: for the browser build, Firefox is recommended; other browsers ruin the colors of the in-game animations.
How to Play
Read and choose — branching scenes and an affection meter decide which of the multiple endings you reach.
Try different name inputs: the name-entry screen hides easter eggs, including the developer's own name.
Prioritize one android per run; the main menu changes to reflect your choice.
Controls
Visual-novel interaction: advance dialogue and make choices in the browser. See the original itch.io page for the developer's notes.
Tips & Tricks
Play the browser build in Firefox — other browsers are known to break the animations' colors.
Endings are meter-based, so consistent choices across the run matter more than any single moment.
Three love interests, yan-mode pet names and changing menus reward one dedicated run per android.
