The dragon has taken the kingdom's treasures, and it's your job to get them back. DungeonSweeper turns the dungeon crawl into minesweeper-style combat: take on enemies to gain experience, level up, and work your way toward the mighty dragon herself.
Every encounter with the dragon sends you delving deeper into the dungeon, where a merchant offers bonus items to help your quest. Keep going until you finally vanquish her in the final dungeon room and claim victory.
There's a lot of game here: five dungeons of roguelike minesweeper action, 19 (+3) classes to pick for each run, 100+ items to customize your build, and 150+ achievements to fully master the game.
The developer is upfront about the lineage — it started as a recreation of danielben's DragonSweeper ("an amazing game, go play that one first") before pushing the formula in a roguelike direction. Around 75% of the art is AI-generated (the rest is asset packs); the code is human-written.
How to Play
Reveal tiles minesweeper-style to engage enemies, using the numbers to judge what's safe and what will hurt. Winning fights earns experience; level up, choose one of 19 (+3) starting classes for each run, and buy bonus items from the merchant between delves. Push through five dungeons of increasing danger until you can beat the dragon in the final room.
