You've been assigned to Project M. Your workstation includes one Atomisure Portable Bioscope, one container of microbes, and one chair (non-adjustable). Your responsibilities are simple: study the samples, log your results, and send them off in the pneumatic tube system. Good work unlocks a research budget.
The Margot Collapse is an incremental game wrapped inside an unsettling mystery — part workplace simulator, part optimization game, and part surreal short story. Buy equipment like a DataMate or an Agitation Kit for the spores, get faster results, and enjoy the performance review your manager will be very pleased with. Your numbers will go up.
Just read your inbox carefully, because company memos, HR notices, and coworker messages don't always agree. Some employees have reported that samples move when no one is looking — reports that are not accurate. Others have reported messages from a colleague named Philip. Philip does not work on this floor. Your office will change too; eventually the upgrades stop being for your equipment.
You may leave your cubicle during emergencies only. TOPTECH has a plan for you. Welcome aboard. (The developer notes the web build's initial load can take a while; a PC download and a Steam demo are on the page.)
How to Play
Study samples with your Bioscope, log the results, and send them up the pneumatic tube to grow your research budget. Spend it on equipment that speeds up the chain-reaction loop, and comb your inbox and cubicle for clues about what Project M really is — you can crouch, tiptoe, and inspect your way around the office when things start to feel off.
