HellCrawler by alexwest81 inverts the dungeon crawler: you don't climb down into hell, you dig your way into it. A first-person grid crawler with turn-based card combat, built with Godot and still in development.
The combination is distinctive — methodical grid movement above, deliberate card duels below, and an excavation theme binding the two. Dungeon-crawler fans tired of the same descent should enjoy the fresh angle.
How to Play
Move through the grid one square at a time, digging deeper into hell. Encounters resolve through turn-based card combat — play your hand carefully, since the dungeon doesn't forgive waste.
Controls
Mouse / keyboard – move on the grid and play cards
See the original itch.io page for the developer's control notes.
Tips & Tricks
Digging is exploration here — plan your route instead of tunneling blindly.
In card combat, cards are resources; burning your best hand early leaves you defenseless later.
