Most idle games count numbers; Slimeglass makes you watch the numbers breathe. The searching veins and colored drops give every feeding a small, tactile payoff, and the spore system gives every run after the first dish real momentum. A lovely, low-pressure pick for idle fans who want something pretty to leave running in a tab.
About Slimeglass
Slimeglass is an idle incremental from developer gelwater about cultivating a bioluminescent slime colony across a series of petri dishes. You start with a single golden cell and a handful of food, and every meal you drop into the agar sends searching veins spreading through the dish.
Each food type does something different: oats build mass, sugar produces enzymes, and minerals tint the gel a cool blue. Feed all three together for a Balanced bloom and watch colored drops travel through the network as the colony digests. Enzymes are spent on the six organs around the dish, and at 60 mass you choose a form for your colony — Reach, Velvet or Prism.
When a dish fills up, you transfer to fresh agar and start over from a single cell, but the spores you earned buy inherited traits that last forever. Six substrates — velvet films, mycelial tufts, violet mould, cold glass and more — each grow their own colors and textures.
Turn on Auto and the colony plays itself: feeding, upgrading, evolving and moving to new dishes while you watch. Progress keeps ticking (capped) while you're away, and a specimen shelf keeps portraits of your last twelve dishes. The page also teases a follow-up project, Slimeglass: Rot.
How to Play
Drop food into the dish to feed your colony: oats bring mass, sugar brings enzymes, minerals tint the gel. Feed all three together for a Balanced bloom. Spend enzymes on the six organs around the dish, and once the colony reaches 60 mass, choose one of three forms (Reach, Velvet or Prism). When the dish is full, transfer to fresh agar and spend your spores on inherited traits that carry over to the next run.

Tips & Tricks
Balance all three foods — oats, sugar and minerals — to trigger a Balanced bloom instead of stacking one type.
Turn Auto on before leaving; offline progress keeps ticking while you're away, though it's capped.
Plan which organs to upgrade around the substrate you're on — six substrates reward very different colors and textures.
