The premise writes itself, and the game actually delivers it — the itemized fridge bill at the end of the afternoon is the joke that keeps paying. It is early days: the developer openly calls it a growing first version and is collecting players' real cats' worst habits for future missions. Even so, as a cozy-chaos sandbox it already stands out, and we recommend it to anyone who has ever owned a cat and a bookshelf.
About The Cat Did It
One tidy house. One quiet afternoon. One cat — and you are the cat. In The Cat Did It, AmyGood's 3D destruction sandbox, everything in the living room exists to be knocked off a table: mugs, vases, plates, candles, the fruit bowl. Almost all of it breaks.
It does not stop at pawing things off shelves. Pull the tablecloth out from under the place settings, topple the bookshelf, tip the plant into the robot vacuum's path and let the vacuum finish the job, or drag a full roll of toilet paper through three rooms. Meanwhile she is somewhere in the house — if she catches you mid-mischief she scoops you up and sets you back on the sofa, though being cute at the right moment might make her forget why she walked over.
The afternoon ends with the bill: a note on the fridge itemizing every broken thing, every paw print and every metre of toilet paper, plus a before-and-after card that rates the damage somewhere between mild inconvenience and natural disaster. Pick Prince the tuxedo, shy Marmalade, or build a cat that looks like yours — and note that the house itself changes every afternoon. It is an early version that the developer says will keep growing, playable free in the browser on phone or computer.
How to Play
Roam the house and knock over, pull down or drag whatever looks satisfying, then end the afternoon with a nap to read the damage bill. Watch out for her: getting caught means being carried back to the sofa, so timing and escape routes matter. The fridge note and before-and-after card score exactly how much worse you made everything.
Controls
Move – WASD / arrow keys, or the on-screen joystick on phone
Jump – Space, or the Jump button
Paw – E, or the Paw button
Look around – drag
Nap and end the afternoon – N, or the Nap button
Tips & Tricks
Work room by room so you always have an exit before she turns the corner.
Being cute is a legitimate tactic — if she comes over and finds you being adorable, she may forget the vase.
The bill counts everything, so the big furniture is where the numbers are.
