Lake Placid earns its 'cozy' label: a lake that quietly shifts with weather and time of day, a 52-species journal to fill, and lofi on the soundtrack. Mobile controls and browser autosave make it an easy tab to keep around, and the species checklist gives relaxed players something concrete to chase. A standout pick for fans of laid-back fishing and journal-collecting sims.
About Lake Placid
Lake Placid is a cozy fishing game about taking your time on the water. Row beyond the dock in your little boat, work through a journal of 52 fish species, and chat with the people you meet out on the lake. The water changes with the weather and the time of day, and some catches only come to those with patience, the right equipment and a little curiosity.
Everything is built for a calm loop: cast, reel, log a new species, then row somewhere new. A journal and tackle bag keep track of what you've caught and what you're carrying, and the developer credits a long list of pixel artists and lofi musicians behind the game's look and sound (noting too that some graphics and code were made with AI assistance).
This is an in-development web build, so expect it to keep growing. Progress saves automatically in your browser — the developer recommends returning with the same browser, device and profile, since private browsing or clearing site data can wipe your save.
How to Play
