Italy, 1931. They say folklore is just superstition. But every story has a grain of truth — you just need to know where to look.
In rooms where silence grows too heavy, shadows whisper forgotten names and folklore takes shape, waiting to be remembered. Relicta in Memoriam is an adventure-puzzle game set in that Italy: you walk through a story about the things people tell each other to make sense of a country in a strange decade, and the folklore itself is the puzzle.
The page presents the introduction in both English and Italian, and it warns that the browser version may run less smoothly — which is why a downloadable version is offered as well. The itch page lists English, Italian and Latin American Spanish among the supported languages, tags the game as pixel art horror with a mystery thread, and notes an average session of about half an hour.
It was submitted to the ITALOCURSO GAME JAM 2025, and the page states that no generative AI was used.
Content warning: mental illness, mature themes and mild violence.
How to Play
Explore the rooms of the story and piece together what folklore is doing there — forgotten names, whispered fragments and the shape something takes in the silence. The page does not spell out the puzzle mechanics, so expect the game to guide you through each scene and point you at what to inspect rather than laying out a rulebook.

Tips & Tricks
Read the Italian text alongside the English if you can — the two passages carry the same story, and the phrasing differs.
If the browser build stutters, download the version instead; the developer added it for exactly that reason.
This is a jam submission (ITALOCURSO GAME JAM 2025), so expect a compact, focused story rather than a long campaign.
An average session of about half an hour means you can finish it in one sitting.
