Theme and mechanics rarely agree this precisely: on an abacus, winning really is addition, and the game makes you feel every subtraction. It is jam-scoped, so do not expect a long meta, but as a systems toy it is genuinely novel — recommended for autobattler fans who want their number-go-up to have beads on it.
About Abattlacus
Abattlacus is a roguelike autobattler played, literally, on an abacus — made in 72 hours by FunB4nan for Ludum Dare 60. You build a team of beads, position fighters and archers, and combine their abilities with powerful artifacts, then let the rows resolve on their own.
The abacus is not just skin: every row becomes part of an equation. Victories add to your earnings, defeats subtract money and lives, and a Fairy can turn addition into multiplication. Between battles you spend your rewards on new beads and artifacts, stacking the combinations that will carry the next run — or watching one bad subtraction end it.
How to Play
Build a team of beads and place your fighters and archers before the row resolves itself — this is an autobattler, so the fighting runs without input. Win rows to add to your earnings, spend the money between battles on new beads and artifacts, and keep an eye on the Fairy: it turns your additions into multiplications.

Tips & Tricks
Positioning is your main input once a row starts — put fighters where they absorb and archers where they shoot.
A lost row subtracts twice, hitting both your money and your lives, so a risky board costs more than it looks.
The Fairy is the strongest arithmetic on the board: multiplication beats stacking additions.
