For everyone who ever wanted to stop being the hero. The build-then-spectate loop is genuinely clever — your only weapon is the dungeon itself — and heroes navigating by memory makes every layout revision feel meaningful. A strong early-access pick for tower-defense fans and Dungeon of the Endless-style schemers.
About Kill The Hero
Kill The Hero flips the dungeon crawler: you're not the adventurer, you're the evil wizard at the bottom of the dungeon that heroes are trying to reach. Your one goal is to keep those meddlesome adventurers from ever arriving.
The game alternates two phases. In the Build Phase you dig corridors, place walls and doors, set traps and station guards — the longer and more complex your layout, the more time heroes spend getting lost and dying. In the Hero Phase you sit back and watch: heroes spawn at the entrance and navigate with their own memory and senses, breaking down doors, destroying furniture and fighting your guards in real time. You can't intervene directly — only through what you built.
This is an in-development Unity build with local multiplayer for 1-2 players, interface localization in six languages, and keyboard, mouse or Xbox controller support.
How to Play
Design your dungeon in the Build Phase: dig corridors, place walls and doors, set traps, position guards. Start the Hero Phase and watch intruders fight through everything you placed using their own wits. Learn where heroes break through, rebuild stronger, and repeat.
Controls
Build and manage – keyboard and mouse
Xbox controller supported

Tips & Tricks
Longer, more complex corridors waste hero time — dead ends are cheap defenses.
Guards matter most at chokepoints; don't spread them thin across open rooms.
Heroes navigate by memory, so rearranging doors and traps can keep their guesses wrong.
