Respect The Horde (Demo)

Respect The Horde is a browser demo about surviving through preparation and crowd control. Search abandoned areas for supplies, set barriers and traps, and lure infected into routes that favor your defenses. Direct gunfire is only one part of the plan. The developer describes a risk-and-reward loop in which completing the objective opens an opportunity to extract, while staying for more waves raises both the danger and potential rewards. This listing links to the free demo of a game still in development; it does not promise the complete island campaign. The developer recommends Chromium if Firefox on Linux displays graphical errors.

Explore for weapons, ammunition and building resources. Choose a defensive position, use obstacles to funnel enemies, and leave yourself a way out. Lead the horde toward traps and environmental hazards. After completing the objective, weigh another wave against extracting with your rewards.

Keyboard and mouse supported. The official page also lists Xbox, PlayStation and other gamepads; follow the in-game prompts for the current bindings.

Plan an escape route before committing to a defensive position. Use narrow approaches to concentrate enemies around traps. Extract when the next wave is likely to overwhelm your setup.
